Talk by Aleksey Kostenko

On January 25th, 2023, Prof. Dr. Aleksey Kostenko (Ljubljana) gave a talk about "Inverse spectral theory for strings and the conservative Camassa-Holm flow" as part of the research seminar Analysis of the FernUniversität in Hagen. This lecture is partially supported by the COST action Mathematical models for interacting dynamics on networks.

Abstract

Show Abstract

One of our main goals in this talk is to overview developments in spectral theory of generalized indefinite stings, the object introduced by J. Eckhardt and the speaker almost 10 years ago. Our second goal is to demonstrate the application of these result to the conservative Camassa-Holm flow, for which generalized indefinite strings serve as Lax (isospectral) operators.

Based on joint work with J. Eckhardt (Loughborough).
